Core7 Base Flex Elements- Comprehensive Reef Tank Dosing

  • Customizable – two, three or four-part dosing
  • High Concentration
  • Includes all necessary trace elements
  • Easy to mix

Triton Core7 Base Elements is an ionically balanced, super concentrated dosing system for reef aquariums of all kinds and has been specifically developed for the Triton Method of reefing. The Triton Method utilizes accurate ICP-OES testing to analyze what elements are in your tank and their concentrations, along with specific filtration requirements like sumps with large refugium. With ICP-OES testing, Triton has been able to monitor what elements are consumed during coral growth and metabolic functions. Taking that data, they have developed their ultra-pure line of Core7 Base Elements, that include all major and minor trace elements that your corals are going to need.

Triton Core7 Flex can be mixed into two, three, or four parts, depending on your needs. For example, you can use the two-part solution to free up dosing pump heads. Or, if you’re looking for the most customizability (like adjusting calcium and magnesium separately from each other), you can use the three or four-part solutions.

Two-Part Mixing Instructions:

Solution 1 - Mix powder from bag A + bag B with 1x liquid 1b into 1500ml RO/DI water to make 2L solution. (CA / MG / K / Sr / F / B / Br…ionic Solution)

Solution 2 - Mix powder from 2x bag C into 1920 ml RO/DI water to make 2L solution. (ALK / DkH Solution)

Three-Part Mixing Instructions:

Solution 1 - Mix powder from bag A + bag D with liquid 1b into 700 ml RO/DI water to make 1L solution. (MG / K / Sr / F / B / Br…ionic Solution)

Solution 2 - Mix powder from bag B into 800 ml RO/DI water to make 1L solution. (CA …ionic Solution)

Solution 3 - Mix powder from 2x bag C into 1920 ml RO/DI water to make 2L solution. (ALK / DkH Solution)

Four-Part Mixing Instructions:

Solution 1 - Mix powder from bag A + bag D with liquid 1b into 700 ml RO/DI water to make 1L solution. (MG / K / Sr / F / B / Br…ionic Solution)

Solution 2 - Mix powder from bag B into 800 ml RO/DI water to make 1L solution. (CA …ionic Solution)

Solution 3A - Mix powder from 1x bag C into 960 ml RO/DI water to make 1L solution. (ALK / DkH Solution)

Solution 3B - Mix powder from 1x bag C into 960 ml RO/DI water to make 1L solution. (ALK / DkH Solution)

Dosing Core7 Base Elements

We highly suggest using Triton ICP-OES testing to establish a baseline, and for dosing recommendations. Prior to dosing, your aquarium's alkalinity should be adjusted to 8 dKH. Alkalinity testing should be done daily for the first couple weeks so that consumption can be adjusted accordingly.

  • Periodic testing with Triton Labs is highly encouraged to help fine tune your water chemistry.
  • Dosing in smaller tanks can be done by diluting each bottle with RO/DI water.

Use with Dosing Pumps

It is highly recommended to use an accurate dosing pump. Due to the super concentrated nature of the elements, it is required to dose into a high flow area of the sump, ideally right before the refugium or display tank with a minimum of 5-minute intervals between solutions being dosed.
